An invitation to thought, collaboration and action
How we educate creates the future. It’s time to change the educational paradigm to one that better models the reality we want to live.
I am certain that the way we educate is just as important as curriculum; that how children and youth develop and interact with the world, one another and society is deeply connected to who they will be as adults; that children’s experiences create the future.
In addition to being a home for posts, Convening Education Change is also a repository for education innovation information and a place to organize conversations about education change, in person and virtually.

“Education either functions as an instrument which is used to facilitate integration of the younger generation into the logic of the present system and bring about conformity or it becomes the practice of freedom, the means by which men and women deal critically and creatively with reality and discover how to participate in the transformation of their world.”
Richard Shaull, Pedagogy of the Oppressed
